Herodotus Travels Abroad (484 B.C.)

Herodotus is a very interesting man. He is a writer, and for many years has been traveling to exciting places like Egypt, the Middle East, and South Africa. He enjoys writing about other peoples' cultures so we may understand them better. It is amazing how he can make these journeys because it is very hard to travel. Herodotus also has an interesting fascination with the Persians, he writes extensively on their lifestyle, for instance what they wear in battle, their education methods, and even what a rich man does for his birthday! He writes in a very enjoyable manner, and tries to make events exciting. He is one of the first people we know of to write down what’s happening around him. Herodotus at the moment resides in a Greek colony, and is currently working on his ninth novel on the Persian wars.

UPSET AT THE JERUSALEM RACE
The annual Jerusalem Chariot Race was a thrilling upset. Out of the twelve chariots, ten crossed the finish line. Trouble brewed when Judas' wheel broke off and smashed into Matthew's chariot, ending both of their days.
The favorite to win, James, lost in the last lap. Coming from behind John pushed ahead to seal his victory. This is the third time in four years that the favorite has lost in the last lap. by Kim F.

"What was going through your head when you sentenced this man Jesus to be crucified?"
"At the time, I wondered why the people of Israel wanted this man to die, and why so harshly. for as far as i knew he had done nothing wrong."
"Why do you think the citizens of Jeruselem traded Jesus for Barabus?"
"I think that they so desperately wanted Jesus to die, that they ultimately decided they would rather have a murderer instead of a healer."
"What did you think when Jesus said nothing even though he was being wipped and beaten?"
"At first I just assumed that he was to overwhelmed by pain to speak, then i thought that maybe he was afraid to talk to such a man of power as I. But as contemplated that, it didn't make sense since he claimed that he was God. I ultimately figured he was a humble man who took his beatings silently, not wanting to spoil his testimony."
"Did you wish to witness this man die?"
"No, I had no interest in watching an inocent man die."
"Do you belive that he was who he claimed to be?"
"No I do not, but i do believe he had extrodanary gifts."
"Thankyou for your time Ceaser."
